Happy Halloween!

by Mary ~ November 2nd, 2008

Friday I spent the afternoon with Vickie, Asha and Tom, enjoying the Hoboken Halloween Parade!

Aren’t they cute?

First they stopped by to trick or treat and play a little Rockband while I put on my costume.  Tom was Iron Man and Asha was a Phantom.  Unfortunately, both of them had their masks on the whole time and this is the only shot I got of their regular faces!

Later in the evening, their block in uptown Hoboken gets pretty crazy, so Red and I donned our ice skating costume for all the kids to see.  Please note - I was still in the process of sewing Red’s pants when this photo was taken.

Here we are, in all our Blades of Glory.

For the record, we did carry ice skates over our shoulders most of the night so people would understand we weren’t just random clown ballerinas.

Then Saturday night we hit a houseparty at Aleks and Tim’s place in Hoboken.

There were some VERY creative costumes there as well!  I wasn’t sure what was best: Joe the Plumber or Elliot Spitzer.

As you can see, Red added a blond wig to his repotoire to turn things up a notch.  However, it caused our friends to rename us to be Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya “Hard-On.”

Despite this, we continued to show off our awesome skating moves.

It was a great night, and I have included a slideshow of our entire month, including some of the more outrageous costumes here.

Hope you had as fun a weekend as we did!
