It’s been a long time since any of you have gotten a personal update, so here you go:

Here we are with our favorite Godson. Red is teaching him the finer points of wine tasting.

As you can see, we are very happy to be Godparents to the cutest baby in Virginia, Dylan Reilly Osborn Kopczynski.  Red is teaching “it” how to properly sniff, taste, and spit.  So far, Dylan is picking up on this quite nicely.

In other news, Red and I are about to fly to Cabo to spend time with our friends from high school, Adam and Chris and their spouses and offspring :) 

On a career level, Red is doing well — he’s been cranking out the hours at his office, but he really loves his job.

I, on the other hand, have been on the prowl for the next big career move.  I spent the last six months figuring out the “what” and the “how” of what I want to do.  Now that I am a little clearer on the next direction for me, I am focued on the “who” and the “where.”

To that end, I am going to be in D.C., San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles doing some networking with various organizations that have offices or desire to start offices in the New York area.  My goal is to find a leadership position in an innovative industry that helps make the world a better place.

While this may sound vague to you, it was VERY hard to come by a description this specific!  So things associated with the green movement (for profit or non profit), alternative forms of education, community services for non-English speaking Americans or other types of “undefined” areas interest me.  I think after ten years of focusing on international development, I am satisfied that there are enough sophisticated players tackling these problems; I instead would like to look for places where the rules are not yet made. 

In personal news, my dad is already home and recovering nicely from his quadruple bypass surgery.  I had the pleasure of seeing him over Easter weekend, just before the operation.

He is doing fine and well and I look forward to seeing him at home in a few weeks.

We’re in the process of moving our site to a new server. Until the move is complete, you may notice a variety of broken links, etc.   Also, although most of the posts are visible, many of the photos are missing. 

Hopefully the move should be completed this weekend!
