Belated Birthday Posts

Well, some of you may have figured it out by now, but I set up the website to auto upload birthday wishes for everyone’s birthday.  Sadly, I clicked the wrong button and failed to publish a few.  So happy belated birthday to:

Adam Halverson!

Tanya Baker!

Catie Moran!

Nancy Jackman!

Chris Grassesshi!

Sorry guys, no photos for you this year :(

In other news, Red had his first weekend home in the year of 2009.  It was glorious and he wanted to celebrate by going to Home Depot, my least favorite place in the world.

However, I did benefit from his planting excitement.

In other news, I graduated, so my parents came to see me on the big day.  Now all of you can enjoy the red doctoral robe.  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Dr. Hermione Granger…whoops, I mean Dr. Mary Helen Nuxoll Kopczynski, Esq.

Really I prefer Mary K.

My parents brought some additional Nuxolls along with, so we had a mini family reunion.

Left to right: Joe and Joann of the Canadian Nuxolls; Jay (Mary’s dad); Betty and Bob of the New York Nuxolls; Julie (Mary’s mom).  What fun we had touring the city!

On the day they left, Red and I flew to San Francisco, where we spent a much needed day of “rest” at Great America.  It was awesome.  Then while Red worked, I went on a visiting rampage.  First I visited my college roommate, Ali, and her husband, Mike, in their new home in Belmont, CA!

Mike and I had an awesome day making Ali cry in laughter at the world’s most disguting stories.

I also got to visit my brother, Joe, my sister, Theresa, my nephews, Jake and David, and best of all….

…I got to see my niece, Amanda’s, volleyball game!

Then we came home for a day.  I was planning on sticking around I swear, but then Red persuaded Elliott and me to join him in Austin for the weekend.

We showed Elliott what it meant to be a real Texan (i.e. BIG BUCK HUNTER).

Then we saw the “Bat Bridge,” which is no joke, a bridge where hundreds of thousands of bats come out at night to feed.  Not sure if it came out okay via YouTube, but take a look:

Then we went to see the Jimmy Fallon Show with our law school buddy, Claudia (and Jeff).  I was featured for a brief moment in the show (first ten minutes).  Truth be told, Jimmy Fallon was talking to Elliott and I was just laughing at her.  However, on national television, I look like an idiot that didn’t know how much the tickets cost (they’re free).

If you want to watch the show, it is at: http://www.watchjimmyfallon.com/ I was on the Friday, June 5th episode (#60) with Bradley Cooper, Denise Richards and Mandy Moore.

Here is Claudia and Jeff in front of the NBC sign at 30 Rock!

And now I am officially home, catching up on all that I managed to neglect in my regular life!  At some point I am planning on getting a job, but for now I am taking it easy.  Hope all is going well with you!
