I was walking home from class and here is what I saw:

In addition to the general somberness of the day, I thought I would post a few prayer requests for those of you looking for somewhere to send your good thoughts.

• Red’s mother underwent surgery today, so please pray for a speedy recovery for her.
• My neice, Raya, is having some medical issues that will likely require brain surgery (she is only two years old), so please pray for her and my brother’s family.
• Red’s grandmother is undergoing surgery for a hearing implant. Please pray that the surgery and recovery go well and she sees some results!
• Red’s cousin, Zeke, is continuing to struggle with lifelong medical issues and we pray for his health.
• Tom and Eva Vanderhoeven as well as Joe and Julie Donoghue, who are very close friends with the Kopczynski’s are struggling with some very serious bouts of cancer.
• Finally, Karen and Todd, our friends of friends in Minnesota, who are battling cancer as well. 

Sorry for the uber depressing update, but hey, life can’t be fun all the time.
